Nursing Clinical Facilitators – Update

Update: Union analysis of the ‘Facilitator’ classification:

Your union negotiating team has provided a detailed analysis of management’s proposal to add a new faculty classification. You can read the summary here (PDF link below), and the union’s comments on the proposed modifications to the collective agreement here.

July 20th Bargaining Update (PDF)


Jonathan Singer has also written a very detailed analysis of the implications of this proposal from management: How to Turn an $80,000 Job into a $40,000 Job (What would we do without Jonathan’s blog??)

Note that this is management’s only significant proposal so far in the bargaining process. They have yet to table any proposals related to workload, benefits or academic freedom, and have not yet responded to the union’s proposals which were tabled on the first day of bargaining. On the positive side, it has been a lovely summer so far 🙂
